New Life Christian Fellowship church was formed by bringing together two longtime Pacifica churches: Grace Bible Fellowship (GBF) and Vista Del Mar Baptist Church (VDM).
In the spring of 2007, a committee of 7 members was formed…3 members of each congregation plus Pastor Jonathan Markham, who was senior pastor of GBF and interim pastor of VDM. Their mission? To determine if it was the will of God for a new church to be born from the joining of GBF and VDM. At the first meeting of this group in March, the idea was greeted with unanimous enthusiasm. Immediately the process began in earnest to outline the path and procedure necessary to form this new church.
On Sunday, September 16, 2007, New Life Christian Fellowship emerged as a new community of faith with a powerful sense of call from God to share the good news of Jesus and serve the community of Pacifica, the Coastside, the San Francisco Bay Area, and beyond.
