Birthday Sunday: An Outward Sign
Romans 10:9-10, 13
The “Romans Road” is a way of explaining the good news of salvation using verses from the book of Romans. It is a simple yet powerful method of explaining why we need salvation, how God provided salvation, how we can receive salvation, and what are the results of salvation.
Many Christians have memorized the Romans Road as a tool to explain the gospel to nonbelievers, but it is also worth memorizing for our own souls so that we do not forget the ‘inward reality’ Christ has bought for us.
(1) Take some time in your GG to memorize each link in the chain of the Romans Road. You might try writing each verse down on a small piece of paper or index card.
Romans 3:23 Romans 6:23 Romans 5:8 Romans 10:9-10
(2) Next, together as a group, discuss each element of the Romans Road. Use the additional verses below to aid your discussion (but don’t worry about memorizing those too!). Your goal should be to have each member of the group be able to explain each element of the road. After your discussion, practice with one another!
